Firstly, let me say a big THANK YOU to everyone tuning in. This week we are talking about something we all need more of in our lives – Gratitude!

In episode 19 of the Cynspiration podcast, I will be focussing on the 8 things that you forgot to be grateful for today.

An Attitude of Gratitude

From childhood, we learn that saying “thank you” is the polite thing to do, but beyond satisfying social mores and practising politesse, why is an attitude of gratitude so essential for us? We have all seen a person’s face light up when we tell them what a difference they have made to us, and they can see our sincerity. They walk away feeling great! That is the power of gratitude, and you deserve a cut of that feeling too!

Being grateful in our everyday lives is actually a powerful strategy for improving our effectiveness as individuals, leaders and strengthening the relationships we all rely on. By thinking of all that we have to be grateful for, we carve out a little time each day, just for ourselves, to reflect, regroup and relaunch ourselves, our relationships and our dreams.

Count Your Blessings

Research shows that those who practice gratitude tend to be more creative, bounce back more quickly from adversity, have a stronger immune system, and have stronger social relationships than those who don’t practice gratitude. 

When you feel gratitude for one thing in your life, it overflows into other parts of your life, even places that you previously thought weren’t ‘good enough’. Practising it regularly totally transforms your vision!

Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.

Give Thanks For A Little, And You Will Find A Lot 

The universe listens when you express it and responds by providing you with more things to be grateful for. That is the magic of gratitude!
